As described above. I guess you either need to limit picture upload size in pixels or restrict the size on display.

Can you send a screenshot of this. We scale down avatars to 128px when uploaded I can't seem to find where they are oversized.

Looks as though this may be a result of issue #4 not calling imagemagick properly (as it wasn't installed), though it did expose the fact that we don't have width and height CSS values on the topic display.
