Knocked out vs being dead. #302

My suggestion is:
When player health reaches 1, create a ragdoll entity of the player called
"deadbody", and keep the person's view in first person mode.

Medics can interact with "deadbody" entities and heal them up to 25%, at
which point they "respawn" where they died and still have all their items.

Cops can arrest the knocked out individual, provided they are wanted in the
first place, they will respawn in jail with nothing, and only have 10% health.

Or the downed player can wait a certain # of seconds and respawn at the
spawn area like a new player who has died.

Why this should be in DarkRP by default and not a third party addon:
More realistic RP experience, keeps downed players active in the roleplay.

I think this is great idea but for a third party addon. First off ragdolls use
up
alot of server resources, and darkrp should be efficient and realistic at the
same
time. It's not the worst idea though, but make it toggleable in the darkrp
adminmenu.

I currently use a system called DeathRagdolls on my server, which spawns a
ragdoll
for each person who dies, that interacts with people and props instead of going
through them. Even with 20+ people on, dying and doing whatever the hell 20+
people
do on a build RP server, everything is fine.

Maybe a ragdoll that can't be moved or anything?

So pretty much you want the same feature perp has.

Players barely ever reach 1 health, this system would be rarely used.
Medics can heal them up to 25%, then they spawn, but after they spawn they can
heal
them up to 100%. That doesn't make any sense.

Besides I don't like it that there would be more added inactivity. when you're
almost
dead, you can't do anything and you'll have to wait until there's a medic
nearby that
will revive you or wait until you respawn. It would feel like you're in jail
because
in jail you have to wait too.

This would add realism, but it would be freaking annoying for the players,
"Goddamn
I'm half dead now I have to wait so long before I can finally spawn again"

This feature is a good idea if explained properly. In perp they made it so when
you
would usually die, you get knocked out instead, and then you wait x amount of
time
until a medic heals you or you pass away and respawn. If there are no medics you
spawn normally, also you can be 'finished off' by being shot in the head while
being
knocked out then you would respawn like you just died. You should have a quick
glace
at perp and see how they did it. They indeed have a few creative features
-cough-
weather -cough-
