Since mp3 is already supported, I suppose it would be also possible to support wav/aiff/aif and maybe also other audio files (flac, ogg)? It would be usefull here...

I'll keep this in mind and see if I can add support for the files you listed.
Keep in mind that there is another version of kiview in development (better integrated into dolphin and officially part of KDE if all goes well) and so it will take some time before the new/next version is available.
