Would be possible to add JOSE as an alternative registration method? Basically to wrap the registration request in a JSON Web Token. I find it quite powerful compared with hashcash because it provides real authentication without any callback (.e.g email confirmation)

Perhaps we could get on Skype toward the end of the week and you could give me a rundown. I don't like the hashcash idea (because either ARM suffers greatly or x64 has such a great advantage that it becomes a moot point) and I do like the JWT idea.
