OBON and OceanExpert interface

During our OBON meeting this week, our partners were very excited to see their (meta)data flowing into ODIS from OBIS, OE, OBPS, RDA, and other nodes.

On the OE front, we noticed that our experts can't declare that they have eDNA, omics, or other relevant expertise from the drop downs. There's also no grouping available for OBON partners (individuals and institutions).

Could we:

• [ ] Either 1) Add a free-text field that allows experts to declare more specific expertise (multiple entries in an array) or 2) send you a list of expertise keywords to extend the controlled list you have. We can then set the standard strings for OBON partners.
• [ ] Create an OBON group and have someone on our coordination team add/remove OE entries from it?

1. specific skills can be added to the free text field 'skills' in the tab 'professional detail' in the user profile
2. in case that is not enough we could add items to 'subject fields', but this should be limited to avoid having an endless long list of very specific subjects
3. we can create an OBON group and someone with the correct rights in OE can add people to that list (or remove them), that person cannot create profiles in OE as that is the responsibility of the expert.
