There are networking features for some that will not be delivered prior to the general availability of the O3DE release. This issue captures work that will be done post-launch related to networking functionality.
Describe the solution you'd like
Deliver local prediction support that enables inputs on a client machine to be sampled and locally executed in a predictive manner, and enables the server to authoritatively execute and correct on a de-sync.
Deliver backward reconciliation support that enables the rewinding of world state to match processed client inputs and integrates into component architecture, so that we can mark network properties as rewindable.
Deliver metrics that are at parity or extend on some metrics.
Ensure customers have a networking sample, with all baseline networking components, that can be used to observe the performance of the networking simulation.
