Since the USGS eMODIS NDVI has been deactivated (permanently it now seems), they have scaled up their eVIIRS product with similar coverage and access. It presents an opportunity to convert the original eMODIS approach into a base USGS class that could give access not just to NDVI data but also a wider range of dekadal and pentadal remote sensing data on the USGS FEWS data portal.
