Thanks so much @caldwellst and @joseepoirier for looking through this! @caldwellst your guidance on best practices for streamlining the R code here is so valuable 🙏

Based on this, I think the main areas to improve are:

• QA for the location referencing in the EM-DAT data summary. Eg. playing around with the fuzzy matching that you suggested, @caldwellst
• Improving the legibility of the visualisation of the IDP data. I definitely agree that there's a lot going on with the pie chart maps here. I was mostly intending for these to be a starting point in exploring the data and am hoping that we get some feedback on what is/isn't useful. I don't want to invest too much time on a visualisation if it's not something that's needed. While waiting for feedback, I can play around a bit more and pull some alternative figures together, but won't put too much time into it yet. @joseepoirier does that sound appropriate?

And for some simpler figures: Two different ways of showing the number of IDPs per admin 2. I'm leaning a bit more towards the second...
