Expand exceptions and wrap conversion info into a result that encapsulates both success and failure. The goal is to:

Be explicit about the error encountered using traditional hierarchical exceptions
Provide a result that summarizes the conversion and errors encountered so the user can more easily interrogate the process
Allow all methods to be attempted regardless of success or failure.
