an operating mode for a cubesat can be specified as a component function which owns a list of expected input and/or output parameters.

Completion of this task entails:

[ ] adding a functions.yaml in the components/cubesat directory, containing a list of functions as per the template for a component function
- [ ] the inputs and outputs per function should contain list items as per the parameter template
