Accessibility Page Template #52

From David and Michael (just to keep you in the loop!):

New guidance being put forth by white house for accessibility page requirements:

  1. Develop new language for the page or update existing content. (Emma)
  2. Add pages to sites that currently lack them. (Betsy + developer)
  3. Establish a collection tool, possibly involving a new email address. We can automate the tagging of items from this email as 508 issues and direct them to a separate Freshdesk category. Or use the Qualtrics survey tool. (Michael)
  4. Collaborate with OER 508 representatives to ensure they are aware of this data collection. Schedule regular meetings to keep them updated. (Michael)
  5. Implement analytics to track the impact. (Betsy)

Timeline:

I suggested that since every site is going to need an accessibility page, that it would be a good template nomination in the Design System.

Still working on a mockup!

The Accessibility page template is ready! I still have to get approval from David and Megan but I thought I'd show it to you first.

I have most of the requirements (see link in initial message) but some content will have to be added later. We're waiting for HHS to tell us what to do.

What I wanted to ask you was if we could adjust our current form to (1) include an accessibility field that is automatically selected when they come from this page and (2) a slightly different description box?

You can see the Accessibility Statement page flow here: https://xd.adobe.com/view/42a6f748-1b25-4ec0-a28b-ad894182dca3-17f5/

This is our current 404 page flow with the broken link form: https://xd.adobe.com/view/e52bffe6-f735-4bdc-9233-2137094c7277-b078/

Let me know what you think!
