This is a problem:

currently the layout of header and footer is copied straight from the page.html.twig structure of the website and pasted as static html. Instead it needs to be included or the website won't reflect structural changes that may come.

Correction: the above way doesn't allow for include files to be overwritten in child (active theme).

Following trick allows for that:
