Cooperative Audit Resolution is a new strategy introduced in the uniform guidance that did not exist under the prior circulars. It is endorsed by AGA, which has published two information booklets on the subject. It may be a consideration under data analytics or reporting of audit resolution to include the number of audit findings that were successfully addressed under Cooperative Audit Resolution, the amount of funds recovered, and whether or not this audit strategy is effective and efficient (M-11-31).
