Fixes broken link and adds new to other relevant parts. Tried reworking some explanations pointed out by the reviewers. Maybe take an extra look at the "hydrological months" part. Also took the liberty and reworked some other sentences. Regarding the inconsistent use of parenthesis mentioned, I thing we are pretty consistent. Only time we use [] are within a set of () which makes sense imho.
