New term request: medication role #156

This term is already defined here and here with this definition:

A role borne by some material entity which can be delivered/administrated into some organism and the role is realized during a clinical treatment process aiming to treat symptoms, signs or diagnosed disease.

However, the term may fit better in OGMS instead, especially since it references 'treatment'.

Hey John,

Seems appropriate for inclusion in OGMS; however, EUPATH_0000056 would need to be deprecated. We can discuss tomorrow on the development call.

Turns out DRON already has a term for this role: 'clinical drug role' DRON_00000001.

Discussed on OBIB call 2021-03-18 (including Chris S.), we agree to move OBIB 'medication role' to OGMS. It raised up that clinical drug can be used for diagnosis, although it is not common case. However, 'medication role' is focusing on treatment. So, OBIB 'medication role' is different from 'clinical drug role' DRON_00000001. We still need the term 'medication role' in OGMS.

@johnwjudkins Could you please reopen the ticket? Thanks!

Added to v2021-4-20. Need to follow up on deprecating redundant terms.

There is also drug CHEBI:23888 Definition: Any substance which when absorbed into a living organism may modify one or more of its functions. The term is generally accepted for a substance taken for a therapeutic purpose, but is also commonly used for abused substances.
