'Chart' field in ENROLLMENT table #2

As of now, we are populating this field using the 'Chart Availability' concept class in OMOP. The PCORnet CDM documentation states that this field does not correspond to chart availability but rather corresponds to whether the partner is able to request the chart for this person.

If patient's chart is not available, how could a partner ask for it?

I'm guessing that PCORnet included this field as a first attempt at flagging persons which are available for further study in a prospective research study or a more detailed chart review. So sites may contribute data on persons which for various reasons (consent being the one that pops to mind), they are not able to provide a full chart or contact information on.

However, at least within PEDSnet, we have not figured out the best way to model this or make use of this field. I believe that in the current state of ETL from CHOP, no observations with class 'Chart Availability' are recorded, so this field will be contain no information in the pcornet model, which is appropriate for now.

Another place for future improvement.
