As documented immediately below the diagram, (quoted directly from DG) "NOTE: plantUML does not allow for termination of lifelines after destroying an object (:FileWriter), but note that the lifeline should end after the red cross."

Reason for disagreement: To be clearer, I still feel that one could draw a white box over it, instead of putting the note. Perhaps it could be of a severity very low documentation bug since there was a note.
