Something Interesting that I found. If you are using the plugin in Chrome ( at
least in our application) if you look at your task manager for processes you
will notice three separate chrome processes. Everytime you take a picture or
the camera reloads one process will increase its memory allocated each time.
After about a half hour of pictures and page loads this memory increased to 1.2
G and then the camera failed to load all together resulting in a white screen.
This did not happen to any other browsers, and doing some googling on chrome it
seems they have had issues with memory leaks. This was our problem, maybe it
can give you some insight.

Hmmm, this is a serious issue for me as I have a webapp running on a terminal
basically 24/7 without refresh (GWT application). I'm using Chrome because it
integrates best with GWT, but this issue would defeat this as the webcam will
become unusable after the described usage :(.

You think this is a chrome of jpegcam issue?

Is there some development going on anyway? Would be a shame if not :/

Try destroying and regenerating the flash movie dom object for each subsequent
snapshot.

my webcam freezes after I capture certain amount of images but when I try
capturing the same amount of images on the JPEGCAM site I do not see that
problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
