Student Newsroom page update #39

Updating the Student Newsroom page (http://ona13.journalists.org/program/student-newsroom/) to include the students and mentors.

Basically I'm taking the HTML from this private page and adding it to the bottom of the existing one, above: http://ona13.journalists.org/student-newsroom-example/

worked with @anekola to make the additions responsive. @danielbachhuber can you give it a look over?

@jeremiahnpatterson We'll post the announcement in the news section tomorrow and link to the student page both in that and the newsletter. Will the link be to the main page http://ona13.journalists.org/program/student-newsroom/ or will there be an anchor link to the students?

@JenMiz let's do an anchor link: http://ona13.journalists.org/program/student-newsroom/#students (which obviously won't work until tomorrow)

In general, I think the design looks fine. A couple of thoughts:

I wasn't sure what we had the capacity to do for additional links. I'm attaching the full excel sheet with all of the student's info, which includes Twitter profiles. There is a separate tab for each. The "winner" tab has all of the information. The "twitter" tab, just has Twitter handles. Disregard all other tabs.

  • Resizing the student mugs seems a little awkward. I might recommend keeping the image width static, breaking to three images earlier, and breaking to two images wide at the very end.
  • Should we include links to the students' Twitter accounts, portfolios, etc.?

@anekola CSS help in keeping the image static?

@iwashington I can add those if we want.
