[BUG]: Dead link to v4 carabiner moulds #96

Closed darigovresearch closed 3 years ago

darigovresearch commented 4 years ago

We were looking for the source files to be able to make the moulds but it links to a dead page - https://community.preciousplastic.com/how-to/make-a-carabiner-cnc-vs-laser-cut

Couldn't find the page in the how to's to be able to replace it in a pull request or a file in the starterkits.

Has it been deleted or is there another place where I can find the files?

Two pages reference this url in the documentation - https://github.com/ONEARMY/academy/search?q=Make+a+carabiner+CNC+vs+laser+cut&unscoped_q=Make+a+carabiner+CNC+vs+laser+cut

Happy to update the two files with a pull request if given the correct link

Hi @catx23, thanks for the reply, we meant specifically the ones that were designed for v4, like given here but the CAD files - https://bazar.preciousplastic.com/moulds/injection-moulds/injection-carabiner-mould-aluminiumstainless-steel/

These were released with v4 right or are we remembering incorrectly?

Also could you please advise on what do you mean by auto-back system?

hello @darigovresearch thanks for bringing this up. Where did you find this dead link?

I think you can find it here, I think there was an extra dash in the URL. If that's what you mean.

Oh and please bear with @catx23 he can't help but spam everywhere.

Ciao

@mattia-io the two pages that had dead links were

Create page - https://community.preciousplastic.com/academy/create Design page - https://onearmy.github.io/academy/create/design

And yes it was the additional dash in the urls that caused the dead links

Pull request has been created #98 and would resolve this issue

darigovresearch commented 4 years ago

Would be happy to be added as a collaborator @mattia-io and to merge this pull request & field any any others of the similar sort so you & @chrismclarke can focus on the pull requests which are more complex and technical.

We currently don't have write access to this repository.

Would that be of interest?

@mattia-io & @chrismclarke, pull request #98 was merged & resolved this issue so I will close it off
