The three sources of health expenditure are:
Out-of-pocket (OOPS) is not included in the sources, but is a considered a financing scheme. According to pg. 12 of the GHED Methodology, PVT-D is the sum of OOPs and others. So I believe we would be able to parse out OOPS from PVT-D for this analysis.
Stacked bar chart, similar to this showing GGHE-D, External Aid, Private expenditure, and Out-of-pocket. Years on x-axis. Dropdown to show groupings by: total (all countries, income groups, Africa (all countries with data), and individual countries where possible.
Or something similar to this, by income group with different sources? I'm not sure whats possible, but would be helpful to show breakdown of financing sources and how they differ across income groups.
Display the composition of health spending. Provide an option to see by income level (and by country) (pre-select income levels but other individual countries can be added to view). Same as section1: over time. 2000/1 to 2020
Chart 1 needs to show:
Chart 2:
comparison/difference between external aid and domestic government spending. What would be the best viz?
Could something like this work? And filter by income level or continent. Bubbles are individual countries
An issue to track our discussion on what should be included in this section, methodology, etc.
