domestic government health spending *new visualization* #40

Closed nupur-parikh closed 1 year ago

Issue created to discuss a new visualization for section one that shows domestic government health spending as a share of total government spending.

Same groupings and time frame as all the other charts. A line chart is fine by me and in the tooltip we can show the amount in total USD and per capita if possible

How's this? @nupur-parikh

https://public.flourish.studio/story/1900936/ I tried adding the other indicators as tooltip, but essentially, we either allow for comparisons of countries (as is currently the case), or a single country at a time (with the tooltip showing the additional data)

@jm-rivera thanks for creating this so quickly, I think it looks great, really fascinating to see domestic government spending as a share of government spending fluctuate in LICs over the last twenty years.

I would prefer we allow for comparison of countries as is the case right now. Should anyone need to see that amount in USD they can go to the section on sources for those details.

Can we remove HICs from the preview?

Sounds good, thanks @nupur-parikh!

Could I please have (here or on the google doc) the text for the chart?

Noted on HICs.

Can you clarify why the % shown for African countries on the debt page in 2019 is so different than the percent in the chart you just shared with me? Is it because we are not including all available data points in this analysis? image
