Video insertion and playback -> black box #1187

This issue is unique.

Expected Behavior

Insert video and be able to play it in edition and presentation mode.

Actual Behavior

When inserting a video, only a black square box gets inserted. When I click to play the box gets grey, no video playback. I have VLC and ffmpeg installed on Linux Mint Mate.

With the flatpak it plays, but it takes twice the disk space and resources usage...

@Gredin67, Sorry for the long wait. DesktopEditors v7.4.1 is released. Is this issue relevant?

I have this problem in Manjaro Linux, the version is 8.0.1.31, the video is black on presentation, the audio works, in presentation mode the video audio also works but the player is empty with no video
