copy or paste error #1233

Expected Behavior

when pasting images, texts, figures, etc. happen quickly and without hangups

Actual Behavior

when pasting images, texts, figures, etc. it hangs, it doesn't allow anything to be done, everything freezes and it doesn't even close the program

Reproduction Steps

paste or copy images, texts, figures, etc. and much of the program freezes, it is a very annoying error. since it is a very important function

I see the "hangs" are longer with larger images, which are all sourced from internet browser. I suspect the delay is due to the app actually needing to download the images first before inserting them.

Can you try with local image instead? It's plenty fast on my machine.

But the UI could be made non-blocking (asynchronous) regardless.
