Optional update service #1330

This issue is unique.

Your idea.

Can you add a checkbox option into installer for update service. At least for Inno Setup (exe) installer.

In fresh install it could be on by default, while during update (in case older version is installed) off by default, as one who has it installed already have it. It can be updated in case of needs for those who has it installed during update, even if checkbox is unchecked.

Hi @regs01, I didn't really understand your argument, can you explain in more detail? The update service is introduced in version 7.4 and it is always active for the EXE package. When installing/upgrading to a new version, the service is also updated. There is no service in earlier versions of the application.

So there is an option whatever to have or not resident service
