Hello @emes81 Sorry, bu I was unable to reproduce your issue on Windows 10 and Fedora 37 Desktop Editor version 7.4.1.36. Balloons don't appear if I add text to a document, turn on "Track changes" mode in the status bar, then make changes to the text and switch the "Display mode" to "Only markup" in the Collaboration tab. As result balloons don't show up if I click on the changes.
Could you record a short video to show me the problem and attach a file that reproduces the problem?
I was a little imprecise with my title/description: in "no balloons" mode, there are indeed no balloons for edits: balloons are however shown for comments, as you can see in this video

Hello @emes81
Thanks for the video and explanation. Turning the "Display mode" to "Only markup" should not hide the display of balloons with comments, this option only works with balloons of changes left in the "Track changes" mode. But I think it's a very good idea to be able to turn off the display of comment balloons too, so I created a feature request #64786
Also in your problem you mention that the balloons overlap a large area of text - this is a known problem for our editor. If you would like me to add your request regarding this problem to a previously created bug, please submit another issue.
Thanks for your help and have a nice day!
Thanks for the clarification. I do think that "no balloons" should mean no balloons, rather than "some, but fewer balloons"!
This issue is unique.
Operating System
Windows 10 / 8.1 / 7
Version information
7.4.1.36
Expected Behavior
When display mode "Markup and balloons" is selected, clicking on a change will show a balloon. When display mode "Only markup, no balloons" is selected, no balloon appears when clicking on a change.
Actual Behavior
When display mode "Only markup, no balloons" is selected, I click on a change and a balloon appears (in my case covering much of the rest of the document, as I'm working on a laptop screen with snapped windows).
Reproduction Steps
Additional information
The balloon is in my case covering much of the rest of the document, as I'm working on a laptop screen with snapped windows.
