[X] I have used the search tool and did not find an issue describing my idea.
Your idea.
On Linux, there is something known as X PRIMARY selections (and Wayland spec); basically, when you select something, it goes into it's own special clipboard, and if you middle click, it pastes your text. Currently, middle clicking to paste text works, but selecting text doesn't copy it to the PRIMARY selection.
LibreOffice does support it, but it's not the best implementation, so I'm going to be demonstrating Firefox and Mousepad instead:
I'm not sure whether this is a good idea in spreadsheets, since you're not dealing much with text as much there, but it makes sense in the other ones.
This issue is unique.
