Hi @ajsingh007! The problem is already known as Bug 71267 and we are working on fixing it. Thanks for the feedback.
@ajsingh007 can you specify exactly what operations you are doing in the document, which leads to data loss after reopening the file? If possible, attach an example of such a file.
Sure, I should've taken a screenshot...
But it was basic things, such as setting the background color for a cell, setting the font-color, size, alignment for some text; Inserting a row, or moving a row up or down
Actions such as this, I'd close the spreadsheet and program, reopen, I'd notice only some of the changes I made were still in place. Rather odd to see
I've run into this bug in OnlyOffice in the past (very similar symptoms), and don't think it's new. In particular, OnlyOffice doesn't do well in terms of remembering conditional formatting and cell highlighting - you often have to apply it more than once before it takes.
Alright folks, thanks for acknowledging this. I just meant it to be a heads up more than anything. I'm very happy sticking with 8.1.1 for the time being. Will close this, cheers
Hi @ajsingh007, there is no need to close issue now, we will do it ourselves when the fix is released.
This issue is unique.
Operating System
macOS 10.12 or higher
Version information
8.2.0
Expected Behavior
When making changes to a spreadsheet, saving, closing the program and re-opening the spreadsheet, I expect the changes I made to remain. I tested this a few times by taking screenshots before exiting the program and comparing this to what the spreadsheet dispayed upon re-opening
Actual Behavior
Only some of the changes made to a spreadsheet remain after saving, closing, and reopening the sheet
Reproduction Steps
No response
Additional information
More of a heads up to Spreadsheet users -- hopefully this saves you some time
