[Bug] Landscape Orientation not printable on macOS #240

Open 8bitp opened 4 years ago

8bitp commented 4 years ago

What is the current behavior? A landscape orientated document sheet gets printed in portrait mode:

```````````
landscape
text
-----------
,,,,,,,,,,,
If the current behavior is a bug, please provide the steps to reproduce and if possible a minimal demo of the problem.
 1. open a new Document or Spreadsheet
 2. set the orientation to Landscape
 3. write a sentence (just one word will not be visible on the printout, because the landscape page gets centered and scaled)
 4. print (bug already visible in print preview)
What is the expected behavior? The page gets printed in landscape orientation:
``````````````````
 landscape
 text
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Which versions of DesktopEditors, and which OS are affected by this issue? Did this work in previous versions of DesktopEditors? -> OnlyOffice 5.3.3 on macOS 10.14 is affected (Linux Edition on Manjaro 18.0.4 is not affected) -> previous versions didn't work either

Hello, @8bitp. Thank you. I can confirm - this is a bug, issue 42156 in our internal issue tracker.

Behaviour is more complicated - clicking around the interface toggles Landscape and Portrait. Print to PDF experiences the same problem.

I can confirm it is still an issue. I can kind of solve this by clicking Reverse page orientation then open in a PDF viewer, and if I can confirm the orientation then I print from there.

I'm seeing this currently although with a slight variation. I can (usually) manage to get landscape documents to print landscape, but if I select more than 1 copy in the print dialog, they print in portrait instead. Version 7.0 (530) x86_64 Macos 12.2.1

I can confirm this issue with Onlyoffice 7.0.1 (531) and text document as well. MacOS is 12.4 on M1-Mac. This is pretty annoying as for printing landscape documents on Mac you have to save them as PDF first and print from there. It would be great to have a solution for this problem.

Three years later.... Still cannot print Landscape on a Mac. This is the kind of showstopper that prevents us from getting rid of Microsoft Office; we cannot do the basics that customers expect. This is critical.

This is also a critical issue for me. Macbook pro 16" 2019. Macos Ventura 13.1

Tried to make a switch to OO and hit this as well. Workaround was to edit and save in OO, then open in expired read-only PPT which let me print landscape.

I am trying to get rid of MS, this nearly 4 year old problem getting in the way.

Version 7.3.3 (538) Apple Silicon, running under macOS Ventura 13.4 (22F66)

In the Document editor; I cannot print anything in landscape mode, not even as a PDF (always prints as Portrait).

To be blunt, this renders OnlyOffice 100% useless to me. I now have to re-install MS Office.
