Inserting images via Drag'n'drop not working on Linux #905

Open ggrrll opened 2 years ago

ggrrll commented 2 years ago

This issue is unique.

Operating System

Linux (DEB package)

Version information

7.0.1.37

Expected Behavior

follow up of #61 basically D&D still does not work , on the desktop app

Actual Behavior

the symbol of 'dropping' appears (so, dragging seems to be working), but the image is actually not dropped into the presentation

Hello, @ggrrll. This is issue 37897 in our private issue tracker. Maybe this is a duplicate https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DesktopEditors/issues/275.

ggrrll commented 2 years ago

hi @Rita-Bubnova ,

I think there was some progress since then... but I am not sure , as I was not using OO at that time

ShockwaveNN commented 2 years ago

I'll leave this issue opened, because in #275 there is two issues instead of one

But sorry, there is no progress on this task

FreaxMATE commented 2 years ago

Would be really nice! 🙃

Had this happen to me also. The image icon on my desktop froze and became NR. The rest of the Desktop and files worked, but not the one I tried to drag in. Restart, and the icon unfroze.

Same with the Flathub package installed on Fedora 37 with Gnome Shell 43.2

Drag and drop is just ignored, which is weird because in 2023 drag and drop is present without glitch in every other desktop app on linux apart from this one

And it pushes us a bit further down the rabbit hole, because the only solution is to click the "Insert an image" button, but even this does not really work as it should unfortunately. Because it automatically filter for "All images", which ignores .JPG files, so we need to change the filter for "All files" everytime we want to upload a picture (not sure if it's something that needs to be dealt by Gnome Shell or OnlyOffice, but it's a bit comic to still struggle with capital letters in filenames.)

Same with Onlyoffice 7.3.3.50 on Manjaro with KDE Plasma 5.26.4.

The onlyoffice package was installed via pacman.

When I Drag and Drop appears the cursor with the no symbol.
