Hello, @luciandf Could you attach an example document where this function is used?
you mean a document with equation numbers written in onlyoffice or in word with mathtype? if it is the latter I am afraid I don't have a mathtype license anymore since this is a paid software. but I can search for such a document in my archive and upload an example
Hello @luciandf! You can insert automatic numbering of formulas through the Caption option. This method is convenient, but requires additional formatting, such as parentheses for numbering (), [], {}. Have you tried this?
Hello, @luciandf. Thank you for the enhancement. This is known as issue 45198 in our tracker. This issue actual in Document Server.
Moving this issue to DocumentServer, because it is our main repository.
This issue is unique.
Your idea.
It would be great if there was a way to insert a numbered equation. The functionality I am thinking of in only present in one software that I am aware of: MathType. It has a number of modes (for lack of a better description): 1) insert numbered equation on the next line: here there are a few options regarding the type of numbering, i.e. include chapter numbers, subchapter etc. Also you can choose the style of the parenthesis for the numbering (), [], {} or just a simple .
2) insert non numbered equation on the next line. this one seems to be implemented in all the office suites like word, libreoffice, onlyoffice etc. It is easy and no headache.
3) insert inline equation. This one also is present in all office suites.
The most needed one for science papers and science related documents that involve equations is the first one. That is because these papers have a large number of equations and when collaborative work is involved, equations are inserted or deleted which requires a renumbering of the remaining equations and the references in the text.
This feature would be truly useful for the science community!
