Support of XML spreadsheet 2003 #381

bug file can not open Did this work in previous versions of DocumentServer? yes DocumentServer version:5.15

Hello, @kalcaddle. The file you attached is not an XLS. This is a XML file and it can be opened in our editor only when changing the format (for example on HTML).

If the file was opened in the previous versions of the Document Server, can you specify in which version it was possible?

@kalcaddle Hi, those are xml spreadsheet 2003 format according to MS Excel. Currently we have no plans to support it, but you can contact sales@onlyoffice.com and discuss it

We supported XML 2003 format in version 6.2.0, but only in our core and x2t. So if you can open XML 2003 file with .xls extension, but you can not open XML 2003 file with .xml extension. We will support this in next releases.

We strongly need this to be able to implement Sap systems with onlyoffice :) When are you going to add this enhancement approximately?

@kirillFedorov1 I've taken a look at original file in this issue and it's openes if it has extension xls even in version 6.2.2, but has improvments in future version 6.3.0

Could you attach your file if you have some other and troubles to open it?

ZWWW_SAMPLE_INVOICE_XML_EXCEL.xls Microsoft office works with this file without any problems

Actually I just realised that I use an outdated release... Having some troubles with updating image

Actually thanks for you file I find a new issue in currently testing v6.3.0, but v6.2.0 of DocumentServer opened your file (but seems lost some info)

Also please note - this is not a r7 product support, this is separate product from ONLYOFFICE and we do not support r7 in here

90% of data was lost :( As I understand, Onlyoffice doesn't fully recognize MS Office xml 2003 tags and layout?

We got some improvements in future version of v6.3.0, but on current version your file crash x2t so currently I cannot anylize your file properly until we resolve crash

@kirillFedorov1 We're fixed the crash and in future version of 6.3.0 (I don't have estimates for release, but I think within a 1-2 month) your file opens fine: image

@kirillFedorov1, I see the problem in your file. Could you issue a separate issue with this problem?

@kalcaddle, @kirillFedorov1 Hi, we support opening XML 2003 files in version 7.4.1. Saving to this format is currently not supported. This is a bug, issue #52439
