@hriekehof Hi, just to be clear - your files with SQL qureies doesn't load and hanging up on loading screen?
If so - could you attach some sample file (try to remove all senstive data from it if have any) which fails to open. But if you want us to correctly execute those queries - I don't think we will be able to do it in near future
hi thanks for the quick answer. i could prepare a demo example but if you do not plan to fully support this into only office this is all i need to know 👍
@hriekehof support of SQL protocol is not an easy task (or maybe impossible) to implement in our DocumentServer front-end.
Just as another idea. It would help us alot if only office document server could detect if an xlsx sheet has an sql query inside and then post a short error message like: "Unable to open document because SQL queries are used and are not supported." If this would be supported we could use only office company wide since then we are safe nothing goes wrong with the SQL xlsx sheets
Hello, @hriekehof. Thank you for your enhancement. I created a new issue 41513 in our private issue tracker. We will discuss this with our team.
Any new about this? I have some odbc queries too and im not sure if it has been implemented/discussed
Sorry, currently there is a little traction about this issue and it's still not resolved If you want to make it a high priority - please contact sales@onlyoffice.com
Hi. i'm quite new to onlyoffice and i currently evaluate it for a wider use in our company. The behavior i observe looks like a bug.
What is the current behavior?
We have some excel sheets which include a few SQL queries to our MS SQL Database. When i open this document for collaborative work via Onlyoffice in Nextcloud the opening screen just stays there and nothing happens. Excel sheets without SQL queries work perfectly.
If the current behavior is a bug, please provide the steps to reproduce and if possible a minimal demo of the problem.
Just create a Excel-Sheet with an integrated SQL Query. At the moment in our Documents this is a power Query which is i think common in Office 365
What is the expected behavior?
It would be great if the Documents just loads :) I wasn't able to find anything on google about it but maybe SQL Queries something which is not supported by onlyoffice ?
Did this work in previous versions of DocumentServer?
Never tested that.
DocumentServer version:
