What's the perfect screen to use for an Arduino-based digital art canvas? #2

I know there are probably lots of opinions out there, so let's start collecting them and deciding which one is actually best. I'm thinking that based on the power and capabilities of the Arduino, it is likely to be a smaller screen, but I'm not totally sure of that. I'd really like to hear your thoughts.

Optimal Screen Criteria

Color
<$50
~1024x768 resolution
Easily connected without much soldering
Minimal bulk and wiring
