the app currently adds a .cloudcmd.json config file to the user's home directory

this should probably be moved to the data location where we save the .motd file

Also, consider renaming to .fileexplorer.json

Maybe we just wait till we impl our own and let this one slide. The config file doesn't have an user modifiable settings from the interface, right?
