IE issue: checking and unchecking "Show Dotfiles" and "Show Owner/Mode" maintains its state inconsistently between folders #97

reproduced in IE10 Win7 and IE11 on Win10 (but not Chrome on OS X or Firefox on Win )

File Explorer:

  1. Open File Explorer to Home Directory
  2. Click "Show Dotfiles". Notice dotfiles display.
  3. In folder view, click a subfolder.
  4. Uncheck "Show Dotfiles"
  5. Click "Home Directory" in tree
  6. Dot files display and "Dotfiles" checkbox is checked again

This also happens with the "Show Owner/Mode" checkbox.

@basilgohar does anyone at OSC use IE that would find showing dotfiles or owner/mode useful? otherwise I say we drop this till 3.1 (or after our rewrite)

note when dotfiles checkbox is checked, dotfiles show. this is only about the fact that the state seems to stick with certain folders instead of global between folder switching while in IE11 and IE10

@brianmcmichael can you reproduce this in MSEdge?

I think this is a duplicate of #100. Need to wait for that to be deployed and verified before closing both of these.
