Hi @DougFirErickson,
Thanks for reporting. Please try to use a gist or attach a file for such large log output in the future.
You note (my emphasis):
... then I changed my PYTHONPATH and PYTHONHOME to Anaconda within QGIS and it failed to start
If you choose to unset
those env vars within the Options of QGIS, it will also negate any set by the qgis-214
formula's QGIS.app
bundle or its qgis
shell wrapper script. Since the Options env var settings are saved in ~/Library/Preferences/org.qgis.QGIS2.plist
, it would survive a reinstall of qgis-214
and exhibit the same problem.
As a fix, try:
org.qgis.QGIS2.plist
to your Desktopbrew info qgis-214
and install any noted missing Python modules, to possibly fix Processing errorAlso, double-check you reverted any PATH edits Anaconda may have done as well. Otherwise, Anaconda's python
executable may still be utilized.
I deleted the QGIS files in the Preferences folder and reinstalled QGIS 2.14. It still does not work. No Python dependencies are missing.
Hi @adam-erickson. Sorry for the lack of feedback. Please try qgis2-ltr
or qgis2
formulae (note Qt4 keg-only formulae will take a looong time to compile).
What's the status on this? Is this still an issue?
QGIS 2.8 worked with only the Processing error, then I changed my PYTHONPATH and PYTHONHOME to Anaconda within QGIS and it failed to start. After unsetting these two variable, deleting QGIS 2.8 and all its dependencies, and installing 2.14 fresh, it still fails to load. It's the dreaded ImportError: No module named site Python error.
