Few feedback on project and local chapter template:

In the admin project page

I am also confused about the core features + specs.

If we look at the osgeo-live overviews these usually show up as bullet point list, with each bullet point defined by the project as a sentence or sentence fragment.

examples:

lucadelu commented 7 years ago

Probably we should fix this before Friday, so we can add the features properly...

jodygarnett commented 7 years ago

They covered it in the meeting, the two columns should be renamed "heading" and "bullet point".

ghost commented 7 years ago

I believe we have everything that was commented here covered now. Could you please confirm this?

jodygarnett commented 7 years ago

@lucadelu we should power through this list prior to tomorrows meeting!

Using the following pages as a references (since you did not provide links):

And turning the initial project bug report into a checklist.

jodygarnett commented 7 years ago

@lucadelu for "less space between core activities title and specs" - what specific sections are you referencing to here?

I assume a project page because "specs", but the other things title and core activities do not match elements on the project page.

@lucadelu for "the header is big, maybe reduce a little bit the fond or the top-bottom pagging/margin".

I think this is intentional to avoid making the content feel crowded. There are some consequences to this - projects will need to be succinct with only one or two sentences for the header. Going to mark this as "done", you can reopen a more specific issue if you have a clarification to provide.

@lucadelu for the following two requests "in the communication tab is it possible to add RSS feeds and IRC channel" and "in the social icon is it possible to add flickr, github, too? (maybe also others)".

These two seem to be mixing up communication and resources, can you consider and reply to the following?

This may be worth a seperate issue ---> https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/issues/71

jodygarnett commented 7 years ago

From https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/issues/74 we have a request for a resource link:

jeffreylasut commented 7 years ago

We fixed the items that are checked, the other items are still discussed by OSGeo.

jodygarnett commented 7 years ago

What discussion are you waiting on? I see the following unchecked items...

This is not a terrible request, if we handle it as we do standards (where people choose from and add to a list) the list of licenses can grow over time to reflect what licenses are used.

Taking this to a seperate bug report so we can mark it as an enhancement https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/issues/111

I am not sure I understand what goes here myself, I think I have seen projects using it to reflect the latest version number? We will need some examples to make this clear.

Taking this to a seperate bug report https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/issues/112 as it is both an enhancement and a content problem.

-in the communication tab is it possible to add RSS feeds and IRC channel ?

I see we have a blogger icon, RSS feed is the more general term.

Moved to a seperate bug report https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/issues/71 for this common request
