@angoca I also couldn't find any supporting sources for these ponds shaped like letters. I added my comments to changeset 130989372. If they don't respond to your changeset comment in changeset 130991205 I think it should be reported to the DWG and reverted.

Also, we have to include this: https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/128615393 It is "written" La Joya at the north.

Mapiate commented 1 year ago

Nice job detecting that one.

Mapiate commented 1 year ago

@angoca I haven't seen any responses yet to changeset comments that were posted. Do you want me to collect the necessary information and contact the DWG? Or would you prefer to do that?

Mapiate commented 1 year ago

I reached out the DWG. It's contained in Ticket#2023012410000178.

Fizzie41 commented 1 year ago

Thanks, we'll try to contact them.

@angoca @erickdeoliveiraleal Sharing a quick update from the DWG on this topic.

"Letting you know that, as neither user have responded to us, we have blocked them both, and also reverted all of their Changesets.

Please feel free to share this information with the other mappers in the area."

risturiz commented 1 year ago

Maybe we could have some voting system to revert this kind of changes and then notify DWG ( this should help DWG and delegate more to the osm community )... At the end we are taking the right steps with documentation and notification i think.

Fizzie41 commented 1 year ago

That would be a great idea, so please do it! It's our role to enforce community standards, & if the community has already discussed it before passing it to us, it will make our job much easier!
