Completely forgot about this in #1350. I'm also not sure why the CI test for that PR didn't test for this.

I think we've seen this before, that there's some problem with the current CI setup that sometimes some errors don't get flagged. I seem to remember that @lsetiawan documented somewhere, but I couldn't find it...
