There exists a variety of TODOs in the parsing of both .evr and .evl files and they deal with mostly the cleanliness of the parsing scripts.
To close this issue, the following tasks must be performed:
[x] In lines_parser.py, finish the todo for "add back the trailing ".evl" in filename for completeness"
[x] In lines_parser.py, finish the todo for "below is better implemented as reading to EOF and check if the total number of lines read equals to n_points; if the number of lines don't match, return error" (make use of readlines(...))
[x] In regions2d_parser.py, finish the todo for "add back the trailing ".evr" in filename for completeness"
[x] In regions2d_parser.py, finish the todo for "consider using fid.readlines() directly for code readability" (do the same as the todo for lines_parser.py) (deprecated)
