Could you share part of your dmesg after you connect both devices? I'm wondering if them were detected.
It doesn't necessarily display any other messages on the server after that point, that looks like a fine log to me. You can run OSVR print tree to view the path tree that's being sent. What are the symptoms of the actual problem you're having, or is it just confusing log messages?

I have the OSVR core running, but when I plug in the HMD and the tracker and run the server I get part of the way through but get stuck.
Any way to force this path tree?
