Auto scaling need to be enabled in Oxford Math #59

Open mayank2k2 opened 7 years ago

mayank2k2 commented 7 years ago

As discussed and decided during performance testing and at the time of go-live of Oxford Math with TCS

  1. Auto scaling was kept disabled due to less load
  2. We will review and enable Auto scaling feature after 6 month of go live. Since it has already 6 month period over, we need to enable this feature.

Please review and get back to us with steps.

Hi Mayank,

We would require AWS console production access to analyse the current production load and decide the scaling policy for autoscaling.

Could you please provide the details.

Thanks Vranda

We ask earlier Pankaj to document the change and share to us for review, can you discuss with Pankaj about requirement. We can’t give AWS production access as of now.

Thanks, Mayank Mishra

Hi Mayank, In order to document the change and decide the auto scaling policy we would require the following cloud watch matrics analysis for last week:

  1. CPU Utilization 2.Disk read/write operation 3.Network input output 4.Status check failed.

On the basis of above parameter information we can recommend the step by step procedure for autoscaling implementation.

Thanks Vranda
