While putting that screw in it made it like 90pct there then got stuck (my guess is the square nut needs realigning) but i am having massive trouble getting the screw out. Its just spinning in place. This isn't a problem with the build/files just hoping you have a suggestion to get it out as I have tried every trick I know. Appreciate any input from your experience thanks

If the screw is not stuck in the square nut and is free spinning. Press against one side of the wall while rotating the screwdriver; this will get the threads to bite into the plastic and should give you enough perches. You can also hold it upside down and let gravity help you as well, but the wall trick usually does the trick.

Thanks yea I tried upside down, leaning against the wall, prying it up at the same time. About 30 minutes last night and another 30 minutes this morning. No luck. My neighbor comes by gives it a shot within 3 minutes he got it out doing the exact same thing. Lol. It's like the pickle jar you can't open then your wife opens in 2 seconds after you loosened it up :). Appreciate the suggestions got it all set now :)

Oh and it was my stupidity not the nut sitting wrong. I thought all the remaining screws were 25mm but there were 25 and 30mm and I picked up a 30mm instead of a 25mm.

Turokhunter commented 9 months ago

The issue you describe has happened so many times during testing, so I have developed quite a few methods to get a screw out.

The 30mm vs. 25mm was a last-minute change. I wanted them all to be 25mm, but we found that you need to set the front square/hex correctly to avoid not catching the nut or pushing it out of place. Then, you would have to take the entire front apart.

Let me know if you have the same issues as number 4, with a few balls veering off.

Will do, I should be able to finish and test it today, I am using a tpu hopper I wonder if that will help

So I am not sure whats wrong and I think this is a different issue than the other issue in here but everything revs up but the ball just sits there jt never catches on with the pusher wheel and never fires. Any suggestions

Turokhunter commented 8 months ago

Check the directions of each of the wheels and the pusher. That is usually the issue.

phoem commented 8 months ago

They all are spinning in the right direction but the pusher never seems to catch. Here is the direction the motors are spinning:

Oh and in case you wanted to see how she looks (I love protopasta and I know you guys do too). I am pretty happy with the color combo

Lovely colors! I understand how your motors are spinning, but you have the arrow for the pusher going away from the wheels. I'm not sure if that is the representation or what.

Try these in order: First, point the blaster down into the ground and place a single ball, with no magazine, into the chamber. Pull the trigger and see what happens. If the blaster fires the ball, place a mag into the chamber next. Push against the back of the mag with your other hand and try to fire again.

Let me know the results.

Thanks! I realize yea that arrow is pretty confusing, I was trying to show how the motor would look like it was spinning when looking at it from the same focal point as the picture.

The ball doesn't fire, apologies for showing off the kitchen sink but it was the best way I could take video and still get light to enter the chamber so you can sort of see the ball.

On further inspection it is my pusher moving the wrong way you are right, my eyes were playing tricks on me the pusher wheel looks to be spinning forward but in fact it was spinning backwards. I forget what that "eye sight trick" is called but going to switch it now. Thanks. Ill let you know how it goes

Turokhunter commented 8 months ago

Awesome! I should have mentioned what it means if it failed each step. The first step, as you guessed, means the motor is spinning the wrong way. If holding the mag causes it to fire, that means the Ball dedents aren't installed correctly.

phoem commented 8 months ago

Thanks again that was it now it works fantastically! Looking into that other issue for you now
