Closes #4 as well - soz, committed to the wrong branch :P Adds a quick versioning readme to the docs based on #4

just tested this and everything seems in order

the only part that doesn't work liek the current site is the sidebar for Getting started. took me forever to get that one menu to work properly. and it's the only spot in the site that doesn't have numerous menus, and thus behaves differently than the other spots.
