Twitter API -> Owler API #1

Hello, there is a revival of old twitter called Owler (there are four other revivals: blips, Africa2, the now dead Bwitter, and Pilko) but out of the five, Owler has recreated the v1 Twitter API.

You can patch the old Twitter clients to redirect to Owler.

I have demoed an Owler patched version of the Google Desktop Twitter gadget, haven’t tested due to needing an account, but do test it out (Google Desktop can be found by looking at Google’s website on the wayback machine around 2010, and clicking the list of products, can be installed on any Windows or Linux device, macOS only works up to Mojave) https://archive.org/download/Owler/Owler.gg

This supports only the 1.0 Twitter API, which was replaced by the 1.1 API in August 2012, meaning many Twitter clients will work. The 1.1 API was replaced by the 2.0 API in 2020.
