We discussed how this world map would treat diagonals as being distances of 1.5, to more accurately model various combat and travel applications. We also discussed how terrain would confer certain bonuses or penalties, and might be dynamic to some degree - players with the right skills or equipment could transform terrain to give themselves an upper hand.
