Sub distance warnings with wireless connection #16

I have a single sub (GoldenEar SuperSub XXL) that’s connected to my AV7706 processor using a REL HT Air wireless kit. My sub is in the back of the living room opposite from my AVP and it’s not easy getting a hard connection to the sub due to room layout, multiple doors/openings. Physical distance from MLP/mic 1 position is approximately 2.1m (approximately, because the sub has two drivers and two passive radiators, the distance is measured to the middle of the enclosure). The delay added by the wireless is about 20ms, based on rough calculations.

I made a new baseline ady file and ran it through the 1.3 script. I’m getting warnings about the sub distance and an info message my sub is “suboptimally aligned”. Here is a snippet from the log, let me know if you want the whole log or my ady to examine: IMG_1331

Few notes:

  1. I have just finished listening to my demo music playlist and the bas sounds fine, integration with my mains sounds good.
  2. I ran the same file through the 1.2 script, with the same warnings.
  3. I tested both 1.2 and 1.3, but 1.3 does a better job with low frequencies in my setup. I am adding +4db to sub level and I use DEQ and DV medium. These are basically the same settings I used pre-A1, but A1 definitely boosts clarity and detail.

Thanks for any guidance in advance!

Chris
