I'd like to help out with this. Can I get a crash course of expectations?

As stated in our chat in discord:

  1. Reword nearly everything. You can use bullet points, you can use summaries. We are just explicitly not allowed to copy everything word for word.
  2. Feel free to reference the source book (which is the free book, not the paid one) with page numbers in the text.
  3. keep the notes simpler, but do add dice roller where its needed.
  4. There is no wrong way to do this.

:)

Hi, I'd love to help with this! Is there a particular way you prefer we track what someone is working on so we don't work on converting the same pages? If it's Discord -- I'm in the general Obsidian one, but it seems like the Obsidian TTRPG Community Discord's link is not working.

The instructions are on the opening post.

  1. Choose an item from the list, which correlates to a section in the free pdf.
  2. Make an issue in this GitHub with the Section Name you are working on.
  3. Work on the section, in compliance with the guidelines here
  4. When done, submit a PR to the repo.

We're not being nitty gritty with necessary instructions because of the way we have to essentially rewrite everything. Some sections may be better as bulletpoints and examples, and others may be better with a simple summary rewrite. So there is no true right way for this, but there is one wrong way, which is copying from the pdf verbatim.
