Unknown client side crash when using Mahou Tsukai's "Mental Displacement" Spell #85

Whenever someone attempts to use Mahou Tsukai's "Mental Displacement" spell in 1.16.5 (puts you in spectator, but you can only move 20 blocks from your starting position), crashes the client side. Server still runs. I found this out playing on a server that my friend runs for me (I built the pack). I'm not sure if wearing a certain relic causes this, or whether having the mod in general does this. If possible, could someone please help me determine this? Updating the server is a P A I N (at least according to how I know how to do it), so if I can just remove an item whenever I use the spell, that would be ideal. As for why the crash is happening, here's the log:

I've alerted the Mahou Tsukai developer as well. I know this is low priority since it's 1.16.5, but if there is time or a simple fix, it would be MUCH appreciated.

Wait, realized I had an old version (somehow). No wonder I was having issues, literally using 0.1.10.1. No idea how I even got that as it's not even showing up on curseforge's download page. My bad.
